ABOUT ME
My passion for synthetic organic chemistry motivated me to join Dr. Reddy's Discovery Research laboratories as a summer student on 2005. I finished my M.Sc project under Prof. Amit Basak at IIT Kharagpur on 2006. After working for two years at Syngenta Bioscience Pvt. Ltd. I moved to USA and joined Prof. Pearson group at Case Western Reserve University. My PhD work was based on designing prolinamides based pseudopeptides for asymmetric aldol reaction and total synthesis of TMC-95A. I was fortunate to join Prof. Ready lab at UT Southwestern Medical center as a postdoc after finishing my PhD on 2013. I initiated the research in organoboron chemistry and developed methods to access substituted pyridine and optically active indoles. I joined the Department of Chemistry at IIT Kharagpur as an assistant professor on 2018. My lab will focus on catalytic and enantioselective 1,2-migration of boronate ester for the synthesis of functionalized olefin and alkyne. We also have an interest on total synthesis of bioactive natural products
